AMI Check Valves for Home RO Systems

Typically installed on the product water tube of the RO membrane or the permeate outlet port of the membrane housing, check valves prevent back flow to the membrane. When back pressure is present in the permeate line (such as occurs when a tank is full), the spring-operated valve is engaged and stops the flow of water. Flow is not resumed until back pressure drops to below the feed pressure.

Required for systems operating with pressurized tanks and/or automatic shut-off valves.

Available in several styles to allow use in-line, in housing outlet, or directly in permeate port of the membrane.

Benefits of Check Valves for Home RO Systems

  • Protects membrane from damage due to back flow
  • Automatic operation of an RO system when used in conjunction with a diaphragm shut-off valve and a tank controls
